Old Calcutta Photos

Some Old Calcutta Photos are online at CalcuttaWeb. These were taken in 1945.

Fetchbook

Fetbook has a good listing of books. It has a section on Asian History.

Did a search for "Roche India" on the books and found three titles:

1. Childhood in India: Tales from Sholapur
By George Roche, Richard Terrell

I have this book and have read it. Its about George who grew up in India. AFAIK His father was the engineer in charge of building the railway station at Pune.

2. A visit to India
By Paul Roche

Must be the same Paul Roche whose Poetry book I have. He has some connection to India. Need to find that.

3. Swifty & the lamb
By Mitey Roche

No idea about this book or its author.

Unfortunately the site does not have any abstract from the books. It has a section for book reviews, but didn't find any reviews for these books.
